Bu araştırmanın amacı, fizik öğretmenleri için düzenlenen hizmetiçi eğitim programlarının etkililiğini araştırmaktır. Bir hizmetiçi eğitim programının etkililiği ve başarısı, öğretmenlerin program esnasında geliştirilen bilgi ve becerilerini okullarında uygulamasına bağlıdır. Bundan dolayı, M.E.B Hizmetiçi Eğitim Dairesi Başkanlığı tarafından, Temmuz-1999 ve Ağustos-2000 tarihlerinde hizmetiçi eğitim yaz kurslarına katılan fizik öğretmenlerinin, kursta edindiği bilgi ve becerileri görev yaptıkları okullarında uygulamaya geçirip geçirmediklerini test etmek için, öğretmenlerin adreslerine likert tipi bir anket formu gönderilmiştir.
