Bu makalede 1924 tarihli Türk basınına göre, Amerikalı eğitimci John Dewey'nin Türkiye seyahati ve izlenimleri ele alınmaktadır. Türkiye'de pek çok çalışma, Dewey'nin raporu üzerine odaklanmıştır. Burada ise, Dewey'nin, raporunu hazırladığı süreç incelenmiştir. Bunun için, Dewey'nin seyahat programı, dönemin Akşam, Cumhuriyet, Hâkimiyet-i Milliye, Tanin, Vakit, İkdam, Son Telgraf gibi Türk gazeteleri kullanılarak, takip edildi.

In this article, the journey of John Dewey, to Turkey and his impressions are dealt with. The most of the works related with this topic in Turkey were focused on Dewey's report. But, differently from them, this article aims to foreground the process of the preparation of the report which takes 2 months. As a sources, Akşam, Cumhuriyet, Hâkimiyet-i Milliye, Tanin, Vakit, İkdam, Son Telgraf are used.
