Bu çalışma; panel tipi mobilya dolaplarında kullanılan hareketli rafların,yükleme yapıldıktan sonra belirli zaman dilimlerinde meydana gelen sehim miktarlarını belirlemek, amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu maksatla mobilya üretiminde yaygın olarak kullanılan, MDF (Medium Densty Fiberboard) deney malzemesi olarak seçildi. Deney örnekleri hiçbir işlem görmemiş, yüzeyleri ve kenarları ağaç kaplama levhası ile kaplanmış, yüzeyleri ağaç kaplama levhası kenarları masif ağaç malzeme ile kaplanmış olarak üç tipte ve iki farklı boyutta hazırlanmıştır. Deney örnekleri 3 dakika ve 1 saat süreyle yüklemeye tabi tutularak bu zaman dilimlerinde meydana gelen sehim miktarları ayrı ayrı belirlenmiştir. Deney sonuçlarına göre; yüzeyleri ağaç kaplama levhası ve masif ağaç malzeme ile işlem görmüş numunelerin sehimleri az, işlem görmemiş numunelerin sehimleri fazla çıkmıştır. Büyük ölçülerdeki rafların sehimleri küçük ölçüdeki raflardan daha fazla çıkmıştır.

This research was made to determine the amount of buckling occurs on the adjustable shelves which are used in the panel furniture cupboard after loading in definite periods.For this purpose, in the furniture production the most used MDF(Medium Density Fiberboard) was chosen as an experimental material. The experimental samples were prepared in two different sizes and three different types. The first one is unprocessed samples, the second one surfaces and edges covered with veneer and the third one the surfaces covered with veneer and edges were covered with wood material. The test samples were loaded for 3 minutes and an hour.After loading the amount of buckling was determined separetly. According to the results of the tests, the least buckling occured on the samples were treated with vener and wood material. The Buckling was determined more on the unprocessed samples. The size of shelves affect on the buckling and the buckling of the large size shelves occured more than the buckling of the small size shelves.
