Uv ile ışınlanmış kör farelerin (Spalax leucodom) çene altı tükürük bezi hücrelerinde meydana gelen ince yapısal değişmeler

Ultraviyole (UV) radyasyonu ile ışınlanan kör farelerin {Spalax leucodon) tükürük bezi hücrelerinde meydana gelen ince yapı değişmeleri transmisyon elektron mikroskobu (TEM) ile incelenmiştir. Vücut ağırlığı 150-200 g arasındaki kör fareler, her gün 8 saat olmak üzere 112 ve 224 saat süre ile UV radyasyonuna maruz bırakılmıştır. Uygulamanın ardından hayvanlardan çene altı tükürük bezi örnekleri alınmış ve TEM için preparasyonları yapılmıştır. Uygulanan doz miktarı ve süreye bağlı olarak deney safhalarındaki hayvanlardan alman çene altı tükürük bezi (submandibular gland) hücrelerinde genellikle vakuolleşme, küçük elektron-yoğun granüllerde artış, çekirdek, mitokondri ve bazal lâminada bozulma, lümende baloncuklaşma ve lümene bakan mikrovilluslarda kaybolma görülmüştür.

Ultrastructural changes in submandibular gland cells of molerat (Spalax leucodon) exposed to ultraviolet light

The effects of ultraviolet (UV) irradiation on the follicular cells of submandibular glands of molerats (Spalax leucodon) have been investigated by transmission electron microscope (TEM). Molerats, with a body weight of approximately 150-200 g were used in experiments. The animals were exposed to UV radiation of 112 and 224 hours (eight hours a day). Samples of submandibular glands were obtained from each animal and preparations were made for TEM. Vacuolation in the cytoplasm, an increase in small electron dense granules, deformation of nucleus, mitochondria and basal lamina, ballooning in the lumene and loss of microvilli have been seen in the submandibular gland cells obtained from molerats depending on doses and experimental periods.
