Effect of epidermal growth factor on titanium implanted oral mucosal wound healing in the rabbit

Amaç: Bu çalışma epidermal büyüme faktörü (EGF)nün polietilen glikol (PEG) 4000 içinde hazırlanan formunun titanyum yerleştirilmiş- ağız yaralarındaki etkisini saptamak üzere, planlanmıştır. Metod: 5 aylık Yeni Zelanda tavşanları 10ar deneklik 3 gruba bölündü: ilk grupta ağız keşi yarasına titanyum halka yerleştirildi, ikinci grupta titanyum halka polietilen glikol ile , üçüncü grupta titanyum halka içinde polietilen glikol ile hazırlanan 40 ng.lık epidermal büyüme faktörü yerleştirildi. Tüm keşi yaraları iki dikiş ile kapatıldı. Beş gün sonunda yara iyileşmesi histolojik olarak ve yara yırtılma kuvveti ve hidroksiprolin içeriği bakımından kontrol edildi. Epidermal büyüme faktörünün tavşanda titanyum yerleştirilmiş ağız mukozal yaralarının iyileşmesine etkisi

Purpose: To investigate the effect of epidermal growth factor (EOF) dosage form prepared in polyethylene glycol 4000 (PEG) on titanium implanted oral wounds. Methods: Five-month-old New Zealand rabbits were divided into three groups (n=W): in the first group a titanium ring was implanted in the oral mucosa by incision, in the second group a titanium (Ti) ring was-implanted together with EOF, and in the third group a titanium ring was implanted with EGF (40 ng) dosage form in PEG. All groups incision wounds were closed with two stitches. At the end of the fifth day -wound healing was examined histologically and by means of wound tear strengths, and the hydroxyproline content of wound edges.
