Bu makale Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu'mın Benim Adım Yunus Emre ve Emine lşınsu'nun Bir Ben Vardır Bende Benden İçeri adlı romanlarını, Rus edebiyat kuramcılarından Victor Shklovski'nin eserlerinde ortaya koyduğu alışkanlıkları kırma (ülfet ve ünsiyeti kırma) (defamiliarization) metodundan yaralanarak incelemektedir. Söz konusu kuram çerçevesinde yazar, bu iki romanın, dilde, biçimde ve düşünce içeriklerinde edebi eserden beklenen şeyi, yani okurun alışkanlıklarını kırıp kırmadığını tartışmış. Her iki romandan somut örnekler ve yorumlarla bu sorunun cevabı tartışılmıştır.

This articles discusses two historical novels. Benim Adım Yunus Emre (My Name is Yunus Emre) by Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu and Bir Ben Vardır Bende Benden İçeri (There is Another Me İnside Me) by Emine lşınsu by using the works of Viktor Shklovski, mainly the theory of defamiliarization. In the light of this theory the question of whether these novels detamilizarized the readers in terms of the ways that the novels use the language, style and content. This question has been answered by providing examples and analyses from the novels.
