Din, Büyü, Sanat, Efsane’nin Ardındaki Kuramlar ve Kuramcılar: Bir Paralel Okuma Denemesi

Sedat Veyis Örnek’in Türkiye’deki erken antropoloji çalışmalarını yakından etkilemiş 100 Soruda İlkellerde Din, Büyü, Sanat, Efsane adlı eserinde, başta Alman olmak üzere birçok Avrupalı kuramcıdan ve kuramlarından söz edilmektedir. Bu araştırmacı ve kuramcıların kimler olduğu sorusundan hareket eden bu makalede, adı geçen kuramlar, bu kuramlara mensup araştırmacıların görüşleri, çalışmaları ve kitaba nasıl yansıtıldıkları, kitabın genel kuramsal özellikleri de dikkate alınarak incelenmektedir. Eserin 100 Soru sistemiyle yazılmış olması, sosyal antropolojinin temel kavramlarının açıklanmasını, birçok kuramın aktarılmasını ve kimi araştırma sonuçlarının sunulmasını sağlamıştır. Eser, dönemin Alman antropoloji ve dinler tarihi çalışmalarının yanı sıra Almanca yayın ve çevirilerin aracılığıyla Hollanda, İsveç, İsviçre ve Rusya gibi ülkelerdeki çalışmaları da aktarmaktadır.
