MANTIK VE DİL AÇISINDAN GOTTLOB FREGE’NİN ERKEN DÖNEM WITTGENSTEIN’LA KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI

Modern mantığın, modern dil felsefesinin ve matematik felsefesinin öncü ismi kabul edilen Gottlob Frege, söz konusu alanlarda gerçekleştirdiği çalışmalarıyla analitik felsefenin kurucusu sıfatını da hak eder. Frege, mantığın ve felsefenin çeşitli disiplinlerinde çalışan pek çok kişiyi derinden etkiler ki bu isimler arasında Russell, Moore ve Wittgenstein gibi analitik felsefenin diğer önemli temsilcileri yer alır. Ludwig Wittgenstein da yine felsefe tarihi açısından önemli bir düşünürdür ve dilin resim teorisi ve dil oyunları teorisiyle düşünce tarihine derin bir iz bırakır. Felsefesi genelde iki döneme ayrılan Wittgenstein’ın erken döneminin magnum opusu olan Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus’da Frege ve Russell’ın görüşlerine borçlu olduğunu öne sürer. Bu çalışmada, Erken Dönem Wittgenstein ile Frege’nin mantık ve dil bağlamındaki ilişkileri incelenecektir. Bu incelemeyi gerçekleştirirken Wittgenstein’ın Tractatus’unda Frege’ye borçlu olduğunu söylediği görüşleri tespit etmeye çalışacağız. Bunun yanında, Wittgenstein’ın Tractatusçu dil kavrayışı ile Frege’nin ideal bir dil olarak geliştirdiğini ifade ettiği Begriffsschrift’teki dil kavrayışlarını da karşılaştıracağız. Bu çalışmamızın sonunda Wittgenstein’ın Frege’nin görüşlerinin çoğuna, özellikle de anlam ve gönderim ayrımı sonrasında değiştirdiği anlam kavrayışına eleştiri oklarını yönelttiğini göreceğiz.

COMPARISON OF FREGE WITH EARLY WITTGENSTEIN IN THE SENSE OF LOGIC AND LANGUAGE

Gottlob Frege, who is accepted as the pioneer of modern logic, modern language philosophy and mathematical philosophy, entitles the founder of analytical philosophy with his work in these fields. Frege profoundly influences many people who work in various disciplines of philosophy and logic, including other prominent representatives of analytical philosophy such as Russell, Moore, and Wittgenstein. Ludwig Wittgenstein is also an important thinker in the history of philosophy, and leaves a deep trace on the history of thought with the picture theory of language and language games theory. Wittgenstein, whose philosophy is generally divided into two periods, suggests that he owes to views of Frege and Russell in the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus which is the magnum opus of Early Wittgenstein. In this study, it will be examined the relations between Early Wittgenstein and Frege in the context of logic and language. While carrying out this investigation, we will try to identify the Wittgenstein’s views which he owes Frege in his Tractatus. In addition, we will compare Wittgenstein's Tractarian understanding of language with the language conceptions in Begriffsschrift, which Frege stated that he developed as an ideal language. At the end of this work, we will see that Wittgenstein directed the arrows of criticism to many of Frege's views, especially the understanding of sense that he changed after the distinction between sense and reference.
