Furfural p-sübstitüe asetofenonlar; furfural ve p-sübstitüe asetofenonlar arasında oluşan Clasien-Schmidt reaksiyonundan sentezlenir. Bu yapılar genel olarak kalgonlar şeklinde tanımlanır. Bu çalışmada kalgonların değişik türevleri sentezlendi. Sentezlenen ürünlerin yapıları IR ve $^{1}H-NMR$ spektrumlarıyla belirlendi.

Furfural p-substitue acetophenones were synthesised from Clasien-Schmidt reaction taken place between furfural and p-substitue acetophenones. These structures generally are known as chalcones. T this study various derivatives of chalcones were also synthesised. The structure of products synthesised ascertained by IR and $^{1}H-NMR$ spectra.
