Cedrus libani (Toros sediri) A. Rich. uçucu yağının antimikrobiyal etkisindeki mevsimsel değişim
Bu çalışmada Toros sediri (Cedrus libani) ağaçlarına ait uçucu yağların bazı bakteri ve maya türleri üzerinde antimikrobiyal etkileri l yıl boyunca ay ve mevsimlere bağlı olarak denenmiştir. Uçucu yağlar bu ağacın yapraklı dal uçlarından hidrodistilasyonla Clevenger Apareyi kullanılarak ekstrakte edilmiştir. Bu uçucu yağların 9.0 |0.g / disk konsantrasyonları hazırlanmış ve değişik antimikrobiyal aktiviteleri Escherichia coli, Bacillus ınegateriuın, B. cereus, Pseudomonas aeroginosa, Pseudomonas fleurescent, Listeria monocytogenes, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Micrococcııs luteus, Streptococcus sp., Saccharoınyces cerevisiae ' ye karşı Disk - Diffuzyon Metodu kullanılarak denenmiştir.Toros sediri uçucu yağı test edilen mikroorganizmalara karşı değişik oranlarda antimikrobiyal etki göstermiştir. Araştırmada kullanılan uçucu yağ E. coli ve L. monocytogenes' in gelişmesini engellememiştir.
Seasonal variation of the antimicrobial activty of cedrus libani (Toros cedar) A. Rich essential oil
In this study, the antimicrobial activity of essential oil of Cedrus libani (Toros sediri) were tested on the some bacteria and yeast depending on the season and month throughout a year. The essential oils were extracted from twigs of this tree by hidrodistillation with Clevenger apparatus. 9.0 |0.g / disc concentration of these essential oils specimen were prepared and antimicrobial activities of these oil examined on following bacteria and yeasts: Escherichia coli , Bacillus ınegateriuın, B. cereus, Pseudomonas aeroginosa, Pseudomonas fleurescent, Listeria monocytogenes, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Micrococcus luteus, Streptococcus sp., bacteria Saccharoınyces cerevisiae yeast by using Disc Diffusion Method. The essential oil specimens of the this forest tree have shown antimicrobial activity against tested bacteria at different ratios. This essential oil not inhibited the growth of E. coli. and L. monocytogenes. The oil were generally determined more effective in the winter months especially and were less eifective in the autumn and spring months. Furthermore this essential oil inhibited the growth of the S. cerevisiae yeast in the whole months and seasons.
