Finansal Yatırım ve Tüketim Kararları Çerçevesinde Dönemlerarası Tüketim Ertelemesi

Bu makale ile Türkiye Ekonomisi için finansal yatırım ve tüketim kararları çer- çevesinde dönemlerarası tüketim ertelemesi olgusunun varlığı araştırılmıştır. İlk olarak Türkiye Ekonomisinde tüketimin rassal yürüyüş modeli test edilmiştir. Daha sonra sürekli gelir hipotezi, miyopi ve likidite baskısı olguları test edilmiş ve bulgular değerlendirilmiştir. En son olarak Türkiye Ekonomisinde tüketim har- camalarının belirleyicileri bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak ise Türk tüketicilerinin enf- lasyon oranı artışındaki ve GSYHdeki pozitif değişme sonucunda dönemlerara- sı tüketim ertelemesi yaptığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Intertemporal Consumption Postponement Within the Context of Investment and Consumption Decisions

Intertemporal consumption postponement within the context of investment and consumption decisions are investigated by this article. Firstly, random walk the- ory of consumption is tested for Turkish Economy. Then, permanent income the- ory, liquidity constraint and myopia are tested and findings are evaluated. Third, determinants of consumption expenditures are found. Lastly, it is concluded that Turkish Consumers make intertemporal consumption postponement whenever there are positive changes in the GDP and in the increase of the inflation rate.
