Beslenme ile Uyku İlişkisi

Beslenme ve uyku, yaşam için önemli ve gerekli iki unsurdur. Giderek artan uyku bozuklukları, günlük yaşamdan fiziksel ve zihinsel performansa kadar pek çok alanda olumsuz etkileri olabilen sağlık sorunlarıdır. Altta yatan nedenleri anlamak, uyku bozukluklarının neden olduğu sorunları ve hastalığın kendisini önleyebilir. Mevcut kanıtlar, uyku parametreleri ve beslenme arasında iki yönlü bir ilişkiye işaret etmektedir. Kısa uyku süresi ile ortaya çıkan enerji dengesizliği, her geçen gün prevalansı artan obezite ve metabolik hastalıklar için bir risk faktörüdür. Deneysel çalışmalar, uykunun yiyecek alımını etkilediği gibi bazı yiyeceklerin de uykuyu etkilediğini göstermiştir. Çalışmalar anlamlı bir ilişkiye işaret etmekte ve her yeni araştırma daha fazla merak uyandırarak bir başkasının yolunu açmaktadır.
