BOETHİUS

Aziz Augustinus 430’da öldügünde Kuzey Avrupa’dan gelen Germen kabileler Roma İmparatorluğu’na hızla boyun eğdiriyordu. 50 yıl sonraysa onun efendileriydiler. İtalya o dönemde, Aryan Hristiyanlığa dönmüş Ostrogotların (Doğu Gotları) hükmü altındaydı. Boethius, 480 yılında işte bu dünyaya doğmuştu.

BOETHİUS

When St. Augustine died in 430 the Germanic tribes from northern Europe were rapidly subduing the Roman Empire. Fifty years later they were its masters. Italy was then under the rule of the Ostrogoths (East Goths), who had been converted to Arian Christianity. This was the world Boethius was born into in the year 480
