JACOB KLEIN'DA TORTULAŞMA, EĞİTİM VE PLATON'A DRAMATİK YAKLAŞIM

Jacob Klein, yirminci yüzyılın Platonik diyalogların dramatikyönüne dikkat çeken Platon yorumcularındandır. Kleinin Platona dramatik yaklaşımı aynı zamanda kendisinin pedagojik felsefe anlayışıyla yakından ilişkilidir. Bu makale bu ilişkiyi ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Birinci bölümde Kleinin liberal eğitime dair düşünceleri ve tortulaşma kavramı; ikinci bölümde Platonik diyalogların yorumlanması meselesinin tarihçesi ve Kleinin dramatik yaklaşımı ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölüm, Kleinin dramatik yaklaşımına dair kısa bir yazısının çevirisidir. Sonuç bölümünde Kleinin eğitime dair düşünceleri ile Platon yorumu arasındaki ilişkiye dikkat çekilmiştir.

(Jacob Klein: Sedimentation, Education and the Dramatic Approach to Plato)

Jacob Klein is one of the twentieth century interpreters of Plato who emphasized the dramatic aspect of the Platonic dialogues. His dramatic approach to Plato is closely connected with his pedagogic understanding of philosophy. The first section introduces his ideas on liberal education and the concept of sedimentation. The second section discusses the history of interpreting the Platonic dialogues and Klein s dramatic approach to Plato. The third section contains a translation of a short introductory writing by Klein on how to read Platonic dialogues. The concluding section draws attention to the link between Klein s dramatic approach to Plato and his ideas on education.
