PREOPERATİF ANKSİYETENİN SÜT DİŞİ ÇEKİMİ YAPILAN ÇOCUKLARDA AĞRI DÜZEYİ İLE KORELASYONUNUN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Amaç: Çalışmada daha önce dental tedavi yapılmış çocuklarda işlem öncesi anksiyete düzeyi değerlendirilerek işlem sırasındaki ağrı algısının ilişkisi ve hasta memnuniyetinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Pedodonti Anabilim Dalı kliniğine başvuran ve süt dişi çekimi planlanan 6-12 yaşları arası çocuklardan rastgele seçilen 100 olgu çalışmada yer aldı. Dental muayene öncesi kaygı düzeyleri Frankl Davranış Skalası (FDS), Corah Dental Anksiyete Skalası (CDAS) ve Spielberg Süreklilik-Anlık Anksiyete Skalası (SSAS-SAAS) ile değerlendirildi. Diş çekimi sonrasında ise Five Face Skala ve Görsel Anolag Skala ile algılanan ağrı düzeyi değerlendirildi. Elde edilen veriler Spearman korelasyon testleri ile %95 güven aralığında değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Çalışma sonucunda süt diş çekimi öncesi ölçülen dental kaygı, sürekli kaygı, anlık kaygı seviyeleri ile çekim sonrası ölçümlenen ağrı ve işlemden duyulan memnuniyet arasında ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Dental tedavi öncesi yüksek düzeyde kaygısı olan çocukların, işlem sonrası ağrı algıları nın da anlamlı ölçüde yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çocuklarda dental tedavi sırasındaki ağrı algısını azaltabileceğinden; kaygı yaratan unsurların ortaya konulduğu çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır.
