Siloran bazlı bir kompozit rezinin yüzey sertliği üzerine bitirme ve cila işlemlerinin etkisinin değerlendirilmesi

Siloran bazlı kompozit rezinler, restorasyonlarda karşılaşılan ana problemlerden biri olanpolimerizasyon büzülmesini önlemek amacı ilegeliştirilmişlerdir. Bu in vitro çalışmanın amacıbitirme ve cila işlemlerinin siloran bazlı bir kompozit rezinin yüzey sertliği üzerine etkisinindeğerlendirilmesidir.Çalışmada kullanılan siloran bazlı kompozitrezin materyalinden Filtek Silorane; 3M ESPE,USA teflon kalıplar yardımı ile 2mm kalınlığında,5mm çapında bant karşısında 24 adet örnekhazırlandı, örnekler 24 saat distile suda bekletildikten sonra 3 gruba ayrıldı n=8 . Grup 1’deki örneklere herhangi bir bitirme ve cila işlemi uygulanmayıp, Grup 2’deki örneklere cila diskleri ile cila,Grup 3’deki örneklere ise tungsten karbid frezler ilebitirme işlemi uygulandı. Tüm gruplardaki örneklerin üst yüzeylerinden Vickers sertlik cihazıyardımı ile 100 gram yük ve 15 s yükleme süresialtında yüzey sertlik ölçümleri alındı. Elde edilensertlik değerleri istatistiksel olarak Kruskal-Wallistesti ve Mann-Whitney U testi ile değerlendirildi.Bu çalışmanın sonuçları bitirme ve cila işlemlerinin siloran bazlı kompozit rezinin yüzeysertliğini etkilediğini ortaya koymuştur p

Evaluation of Effect of Different Finishing and Polishing Procedures on the Surface Hardness of a Silorane Based Composite Resin

New resin types have been developed for preventing polimerization shrinkage which is one of the major problems at composite resin restorations. Silorane based composite resin system is an example for these investigations. Aim of this in vitro study is to assess the effect of finishing and polishing procedures on surface hardness of a silorane based composite resin. 24 cylinder shaped 2mm height, 5mm diameter specimens of the silorane based composite Filtek Silorane; 3M ESPE, USA were prepared using by teflon molds against strips. Then the samples were placed in distilled water for 24 hours and divided into 3 groups n:8 . No finishing or polishing procedure was applied on samples at Group 1. Samples at the Group 2 were polished by using polishing discs while samples at the Group 3 were finished with tungsten carbide burs. Surface hardness measuremants were taken from top of each examples with Vickers microhardness tester under 100gr load and 15s dwell time. Results were evaluated statisti-cally using by Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann-Whitney U test.
