Farklı diş macunlarının antibakteriyel etkilerinin in vitro olarak incelenmesi
Sonuçların istatistiksel analizi için Kruskal Wallis and Mann Whitney U Testi kullanıldı. Sonuçlar Yirmi dört saat sonra yapılan gözlemler test edilen her diş macununun antibakteriyel etkilerinin olduğunu fakat özellikle Streptococcus mutans için diş macunları arasında istatistiksel fark oluşmadığını gösterdi P>0,05 .
IN VITRO ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF DIFFERENT TOOTHPASTES
In this in vitro study eight toothpastes were tested for their antimicrobial activity against four oral pathogens namely, Streptococcus mutans, Enterococcus faecalis, Bacillus subtilis, Lactobacillus casei, Staphylococus aureus by well Agar Diffusion Test. Method and materıals For the evaluation of antibacterial properties of materials, 9 holes prepared by 5 mm diameter on each agar plate. Different 8 toothpastes insert in this holes but one of them lived empty for control. Inhibition zones of against the test organism measured after 24 hours. Kruskal Wallis and Mann Whitney U Test were used for evaluate of the findings by statistically. Results According to 24 h results all tested toothpastes have antimicrobial activity on tested organism type but there was not statistically differences on Streptococcus mutans P>0,05 .
