Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi öğrencilerinde halitozis ve etkileyen faktörlerin değerlendirilmesi

Çalışma; diş hekimliği fakültesi öğrencilerindeki halitozis varlığını belirlemek, bunu etkileyen faktörleri değerlendirilmek ayrıca diş hekimliği eğitiminin öğrencilerin oral hijyen alışkanlıklarına etkilerini ortaya çıkarabilmek amacıyla yapılmıştır.Bu amaçla, 2007-2008 öğretim yılında tümsınıflarda toplam 268 öğrenciye halitoziseyönelik anket formu uygulanmış, halitozis; halimeter ve organoleptik ölçümlerle değerlendirilmiştir.İstatistiksel değerlendirmeler; SPSS 11.5 kullanılarak yüzde dağılımları, ki kare ve Mann WhitneyU testi uygulanarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında yer alan 268 dişhekimliği fakültesi öğrencisinin anket formundakiağız kokusu şikayetlerine yönelik sorulara vermişoldukları yanıtlar ve cinsiyetleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamamıştır. Assessment of Halitosis in Students of Faculty of Dentistry and the Contributing Factors

The aim of this study has been made to diagnose the existence of halitosis in students of Facultyof dentistry and to assess the contributing factors aswell as finding out the effect of dentistry educationon probable changes in oral hygiene habits of thestudents.In 2007-2008 academic year 268 students students from 1-5 years were given enguiry on halitosis was evaluated through halimeter andorganoleptic measurements.
