POPÜLİZM VE SALGINLA ULUS DEVLETE GEÇİŞ, GIDA TEDARİK ZİNCİRİ İLE BİRLİĞE DÖNÜŞ

Popülist ve milliyetçi söylemler, ABD’den Rusya’ya, Brezilya’dan Macaristan’a kadar tüm dünyayı saran geniş bir iktidar imkânı bulurken; ‘güvenlik’ üzerinden sağlamlaştırılan bu iktidarların ‘hız çağı’na ayak uyduramayanların, işinden, geleceğinden emin olamayan halkların ‘korkularının’ sonucu olduğu biliniyordu. Brexit sonrası geleceği tartışılırken bir de Covid-19 salgını ile küçük kasabaların dahi sınırlarını kapatarak içe kapanması, AB gibi ulus-üstü örgütlenmelerin yerini tarihin ilk dönemlerinde olduğu gibi ‘şehir devletleri’nin alabileceği öngörüsüne yol açmıştır. Ancak salgının henüz ilk başlarında yaşanan ‘gıda tedarik zinciri’ sorunları ve yaklaşan gıda krizi, aslında küreselleşmenin de doğal bir sonucu olan ‘sınırların olmadığı’ bir toplumsal yapının kolayından çözülemeyeceğini göstermiştir.
