It is possiblethrough this method, to arrive at a result in a very short time.If the diagnosis could not be made with this method, the samples takenfrom different parts of the brain suspected of disease are emulsifiedin salt water and 10 % suspension is made. The suspension is inoculatedinto the 3 to 4 week - old mice. At least five rnice are used foreach sample. The mice are kept under observation for a month. The diagnosiscan be made certain by making smears from the brains of the micethat died during the above mentioned timen and examining them underthe microscope.b) It is not possible to obtain a particular result from the misroscopicexamination, if there is any putrefaction in the sample. Inthis case, the 10 % suspension made from the brain with the additionof antibiotics according to the degree of putrefaction is ~noculatedinto at least ten mice.c) If the sample has come in some kind of antiseptic, the piecestaken form the Ammon's horn are cut in microtom and stainedwith Lentz method.2 - The rabies vaccine prepared by the Sample method usingPasteur's Virus Fix is produced for the Veterinary Organization.
