Bakteriyolojik muayeneler sonucunda hayvanlardan 20'sinden (%44) E.coli, 11'inden (%25) Staphyloccocus epidermidis üretildi.
«A study on avion swollen head syndrome in Ankara region»
In this study clinical and autopsy, bacteriological, virological and serological
examinations were carried out on 43 specimen collected from SHS suspected
broiler and layer chicken materials in Ankara and neighbouring provinces.
Bacteriological examinations resulted in the isolation of E. coli from 20
animals (40 %), and Stahpyhlococcus epidermidis from 12 animals (25 %).
Antibiotic sensitivity test revealed that E. coli organizms were 100% sensitive
to apramycine, neomycine, danofloxacin, enrofloxacin. chlortetracycline,
40% sensitive to colistin sulphate, nitrofurantoine, and 20% sensitive to eritmmyeine
and chloramphenicole. Staph. epidermidis organism were, however,
100% sensitive to apramycine and colistin sulphate, 50% sensitive to
gentamycine, neomycine, penicilline, ampicilline and carbenicilline.
Embryonated eggs were inoculated for virological examination and they
were found to be negative for NDV and IBV. ·
Of 38 serum samples examined 4 (8.8 %) were positive for Pullorum test
and 34 (91.2 %) were negative for the same test and all of serum samples
(100 %) were negative for CRD. 15 samples sent to the Netherlands were
examined for TRT and 2 of them were found positive by ELISA.
