Doğal Gaz Yanmasında Ocak Yükünün Karbonmonoksit Emisyonu Üzerine Etkisi
Alev
Effect Of Furnace Heat Load On Carbon Monoxide Emission At Natural Gas Combustion
The
effects of combustion chamber volume on carbon monoxide emission have been investigated
experimentally. Experiments have been carried out on a fire tube water heater
described in the EN 676 and equipped with natural gas burner with the maximum
heat capacity of 116 kW. For both categories of the experiments, heat input and
furnace length were the parameters. The experiments were performed for the three
heat inputs. The maximum heat input was 116 kW and obtained from the diagram
given in EN 676 for the maximum combustion chamber length of 790 mm. The other
heat inputs were 87 kW and 58 kW, which were 25% and 50% less than the
previousone. The length of the combustion chamber for these two heat inputs was
determined as 680 and 550 mm, respectively, from the diagram given in the
standard. The carbon monoxide concentration of the sucked gas was measured. It
was defined that carbon monoxide emission increased with the decrease in the
furnace volume at the constant excess air ratio. In the experiments, the heat
input and furnace volume decreased, carbon monoxide emission increased with
decreasing the furnace heat load. For the constant heat input, the emission
also increased as the furnace volume decreased.Carbon monoxide emission took
the maximum value (1200 ppm) for the smallest furnace volume and biggest heat
input as the furnace length was 550 mm.
