Tarihsel olarak çok eski olan ve dünya ekonomisinde önemli bir yer tutan, gittikçe daha önemli hale gelen ulusötesi şirketler (UÖŞ), hem siyaset bilimciler, hem de ekonomistler için önemli bir araştırma alanı konumuna yükselmiştir. Son yıllarda ulusötesi şirketler ulus devletlerle güçleri bakımından kıyaslanır hale gelmiştir. Ulusötesi şirketler ve ulus devletlerin gücü ile ilgili literatür taraması sonucunda yazarların iki farklı görüş etrafında toplandığı görülmüştür. Bunlardan birincisi ulusötesi şirketlerin ulus devletlerin gücünü azalttığı görüşü, diğeri ise ulusötesi şirketlerin ulus devletlerin gücünü azaltmadığı görüşüdür. Çalışmamızda ulusötesi şirketler ile ulus devletleri güç kavramı bağlamında inceleyen literatürün taranmasına ve ulusötesi şirketlerin ulus devletlerin gücü üzerindeki etkisi ile ilgili literatürün ortaya konmasına önem verilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, ulusötesi şirketlerin ekonomik gücündeki artışı ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla ulusötesi şirketler ile ulus devletler ekonomik güçleri bakımından karşılaştırılarak güç kayması etkisi test edilmiştir

Transnational corporations (TNC), which is historically very old, holds an important place in the world economy and becoming extremely important , has gained on importance for both political scientisits and economists. In recent years transnational corporations have became comparablae with nation states in terms of their power could be seen. At the and of literature search on the power of transnational corporations and nation states, the writers gathers around two different views. The first view is that transnational corporations decrease the power of nation states and the other is view that transnational corporations do not decrease power of nation states. In our study we perform literture study which surveys the transnational corporations and nation states in terms of their power and the search of literatüre on the effects of transnational corporations on nation states power. The main purpose of this study is to put forwards the increase of economic power of transnational corporations. Fort his aim via company power transnational corporations and nation states for their economic power, power shift effect is tested.
