Bu çalışmada çelik sektörünün analizi amaçlanmıştır. Dünya Çelik Birliği’nden yıllara göre çelik üretim rakamları elde edilerek, ülkelerdeki gelişimleri ve sektördeki durumları gözlenmiştir. Ülkelerin gelişmişlik düzeyleri ve çelik üretim rakamları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olup olmadığı Anova yöntemi ile araştırılmıştır. Anova sonuçlarına göre üretim rakamları ile gelişmişlik düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır. Ayrıca, çelik üretimi yapan ülkeler, ortalama üretim rakamlarına göre kümeleme analizi yapılarak gruplandırılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre; Türkiye 9. kümede, Belçika, Kanada, Fransa, Meksika, Polonya, İspanya ve İngiltere ile yer almıştır.

In this study, analysis of the steel sector  is aimed. By using the yearly steel production data obtained from the world steel Association  the acceleration rate and the situation of countries in industry is observed.  It was investigated whether there is a significant relation between the development level of countries and the steel production rates or not. For this purpose Anova method was used. According to the Anova results, there is no significant relation between production rates and the development level of countries. In addition, the countries producing steel are grouped according to their average production rates by performing clustering analysis. According to the results of the analysis; Turkey is located in the 9th cluster together with Belgium, Canada, France, Mexico, Poland, Spain and United Kingdom
