ORGANİK GIDA SATIN ALMA NİYETİNDE TUTUM, SAĞLIK BİLİNCİ VE GIDA GÜVENLİĞİNİN ETKİSİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Son yıllarda sağlanan ekonomik gelişmeile birlikte tüketicilerin organik gıdaya olan ilgilerinde artışmeydana geldiği görülmektedir. Bu artışta yaşam süresinin uzaması ile birlikte yaşam kalitesininyükseltilmek istenmesinin de önemi büyüktür. Konvansiyel tarım ile elde edilen gıdaların insansağlığına ve çevreye verdiği zararlar nedeniyle tüketicilerin organik gıdaya yöneldiği değişikaraştırmalarla ortaya konulmuştur.Çalışma kapsamında organik gıda satın alma niyetinde tutumun, sağlık bilincinin ve gıda güvenliğininetkisi araştırılmış, ayrıca demografik özelliklerin bu değişkenlerle ilişkisi Ki-kare analizi ile incelenmiştir.Araştırma kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 155 kişi üzerinde uygulanmıştır.Çalışmasonucunda, satın alma niyetine, sırasıyla en fazla organik gıdaya olan tutum ve gıda güvenliğinin etkiettiğibulunmuştur. Sağlık bilincinin ise satın alma niyetine etki etmediği gözlenmiştir. Demografiközelliklerle ilgili olarak meslek ve organik ürünlere yönelik tutum arasında, cinsiyet ve organik ürünsatın alma niyeti arasındailişki olduğu bulunmuştur.

A SURVEY ON THE EFFECT OF ATTITUDE, HEALTH CONSCIOUSNESS AND FOOD SAFETY ON ORGANIC FOOD PURCHASE INTENTION

Along with the economic development in last years, it is seen that consumer interest in organic foods hasincreased. Together with prolongation of life and desire to increase the quality of life are of great importancein this increase. Researches demonstrated that consumers have turned to organic food due to the damagesgiven to human health and the environment by food obtained from conventional agriculture. In this study, the effects of attitude, health consciousness and food safety on organic food purchaseintention were examined. The relationship between these variables and demografic factors were alsoinvestigated by means of Chi-square analysis. The survey was conductedon 155 participantsselected byusing convenience sampling method. As result, attitude toward organic food and food safety were found tobe significant on organic food purchase intention. On the other hand, health consciousnesswas not foundsignificant on purchase intention. With respect to demographic characteristics, occupation and attitudestowards organic products were found to be related with each other. It was also found that gender had arelation with organic food purchase intention
