ULUSLARARASI BAKIŞ İLE YÜKSEKÖĞRETİMDE KALİTE GÜVENCESİNİN GELİŞİMİ

Yükseköğretim kurumları, sosyo-politik dönüşümler, küreselleşme, bilim dünyasındaki gelişmeler, yaşam boyu öğrenme ve bilgiye dayalı toplumların ihtiyaçlarındaki değişiklikler gibi sebeplerle birçok alanda yenilikçi uygulamalar ile karşılaşmaktadır. Bilgi, tarihsel süreçte her zamankinden daha değerli hale gelmiştir. Sanayileşmiş toplumların ihtiyaçlarının karşılanmasında bilgi temelli yaklaşımlar yer almaktadır. Yükseköğretim kurumları toplumun ve iş dünyasının ihtiyaç duyduğu beceri ve yeterliliklere sahip çok sayıda mezun vererek ülke ekonomisine katkıda bulunmaktadır. Bu kapsamda modern toplumların karşılaştığı toplumsal, sosyokültürel ve ekonomik olgular kapsamında yükseköğretimde kalite süreçleri gündeme gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada yükseköğretimde kalite güvencesinin neden gerekli olduğu ve yükseköğretimdeki kalite çalışmalarının uluslararası perspektifteki yansımaları incelenecektir.
