Investigating the Relationship between Self-efficacy and Job Satisfaction: A Research on High School Teachers

The main purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between self-efficacy beliefs and job satisfaction perceptions of high school teachers. The population of the study, which was designed in the relational model, consists of teachers working in high schools in the center of Elazığ province in the 2022-2023 academic year. Simple random sampling method was used to determine the sample of the study and the study was conducted with the participation of 415 teachers. "Personal Information Form", "Self-Efficacy Scale Short Form" and "Job Satisfaction Scale" were used to collect the data. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to analyze the data, descriptive statistical analyses were used to determine the perception levels of teachers' self-efficacy and job satisfaction, and Pearson product moment correlation coefficient was used to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and job satisfaction. The findings of the study indicates that teachers' perceptions of all sub-factors of self-efficacy and the overall scale are at a high level, and their perceptions of job satisfaction are also at a high level. In addition, it has been concluded that there is a high, positive and significant relationship between teachers' self-efficacy beliefs and job satisfaction perceptions.
