SAĞLIKLI BİREYLERDE KANSER RİSK FAKTÖRLERİ

Bu çalışma İzmir’de yaşayan sağlıklı bireylerde kanser riskinin tanılanması amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini Ege Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi’nde yatan hasta refakatçileri oluşturmuştur. 1 Ocak – 1 Temmuz 2004 tarihleri arasında dahili ve cerrahi kliniklerinde yatan, olasılıksız örneklem yöntemi ile seçilen 356 hasta refakatçisi araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında Harvard Üniversitesi Kanser Önleme Merkezi tarafından geliştirilmiş anket formundan yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda bireylerin her bir kanser türüne ilişkin risk faktörlerinden bir ya da birden fazlasına sahip oldukları saptanmıştır

CANCER RISK FACTORS IN HEALTHY INDIVIDUALS

This study was conducted to determine cancer risk factors in healthy individuals who live in İzmir. The scope of the study comprised the people who accompanied the patients residing in Ege University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. The sample of the study consisted of 356 hospital attendants who stay in internal medicine and surgical clinics and choosen through random sampling technique between the dates of January 1- July 1 2004. Data were collected by using questionnaire developed by Harvard University Cancer Prevention Center. At the end of the study, it was determined that people participating to the study had one or more risk factors related to cancer
