Araştırma, hemşirelerin prostatektomi ameliyatı olan hastaların bakımına ve gelişebilecek komplikasyonların önlenmesine ilişkin bilgi kliniklerinde çalışan 32 hemşireye uygulanmıştır. düzeylerini saptamak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Üroloji Sonuç olarak; Hemşirelerin bilgi düzeylerinin istenen düzeyde olmadığı saptanmıştır. B u -n ed e n le hastalara kapsamlı hemşirelik bakımı verebilmek amacı ile mezuniyet sonrası dönemde sürekli görev içi eğitim programlarının düzenlenmesi ve bu eğitim prog ramlarını altı aylık sürelerle bilgile•inin yenilenmesi amacıyla tek rarlanması önerilmiştir

This study has been planned to assess the nurses' levet of knowledge releated to postoperativ care and prevention of possible complications of the patients undergone to prostatectomia. This study covered 32 Nurses who work in urologıcal departments of three hospitals in İzmir. Nurses were subjected to a quastionaire form including detailed items about the matter and the correct answers were taken into account. Resaults of the study have shown that the nurses knowlege covering the care of the patients with prostatectomia and the prevention of complications was not sufficient. İt was suggested that after graduation inservice education programmes are very necessary in order to give patients a competant nursing care. The refreshing pragrammes must be repeated in conveniant mtervals.
