Gelişen teknoloji ile birlikte robotların hem endüstride hem de günlük hayattaki kullanım alanları gittikçe artmaktadır. Bu alanlar arama kurtarmadan ilk yardıma, seri üretimden hasta bakımına kadar çok geniş bir yelpazeyi içermektedir. Bu projede bir mobil robot prototipi tasarlanmış ve gerçeklenmiştir. Robotu oluşturan mekanik, elektronik ve yazılım parçaları tek tek gerçeklenip birbirine entegre edilerek MyRobot başarı ile hayata geçirilmiştir. MyRobot sekiz farklı hareket kabiliyetine sahiptir. Bunlardan dört tanesi robotun kendi hareketleri diğer dört tanesi ise robot üzerinde bulunan robot kolun iki eksenli hareketleridir. MyRobot'un üzerinde bulunan kamera, robot kol sayesinde iki eksenli hareket yapabilmekte ve aldığı ses ve video sinyallerini yine kablosuz olarak kontrol bilgisayarına aktarabilmektedir. MyRobot üzerine yapılacak eklemelerle çok değişik amaçlar için kullanılabilecek şekilde tasarlanmıştır. Kablosuz görüntü aktarımı sayesinde uzaktan izlemede, hayati tehlike bulunan bölgelerin keşfinde, bomba imhasında rahatlıkla kullanılabilecek durumdadır.

With the advances in technology, the number of fields where robots are utilized continuously grows both in industry and in daily life. These fields require fulfillment of a wide variety of tasks from search and rescue mission to first aid and from mass production to patient care. In this research work, a mobile robot prototype was designed and implemented. MyRobot was come to life by designing, implementing, and integrating together the mechanic, electronic and software components of the robot. MyRobot has eight different movement abilities. Four of these are for the robots self movements and the others are the movements of a robotic arm in four directions around two axis. The video camera attached to the robotic arm on MyRobot can move around two axes and transmits the audio/video signals wirelessly to the back to the control computer. MyRobot was designed to be extendable. With some additional components MyRobot can be utilized in several different tasks such as remote surveillance, exploration in the hazardous areas, explosive disposal.
