Web tabanlı sınavlar, öğrencilerin soruları bilgisayar ekranından okumalarına, cevapları fare veya klavye ile seçmelerine ve değiştirebilmelerine, sınav bittiğinde sınavı göndermelerine, istenirse, sınav sonuçlarının eş zamanlı olarak değerlendirilip öğrencinin bilgilendirilmesine imkan verir. Bu araştırmada araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen çevrimiçi sınav ortamının öğrencilerin Bilgisayar Büro Programları dersindeki akademik başarılarına ve bilgisayara karşı tutumlarına etkisi belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2010â€"2011 bahar yarıyılında Bilgisayar Büro Programları dersini alan Ahi Evran Üni. Meslek Yüksekokulu İşletme Bölümü öğrencilerinden iki şubedeki toplam 75 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada öntest - sontest kontrol gruplu araştırma desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verileri araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen akademik başarı testi ve Uzunboylu tarafında geliştirilen Bilgisayar Tutum Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Çevrimiçi sınav ortamında gerçekleştirilen sınav, kağıt-kalem sınavlarına göre öğrencilerin bilgisayar dersindeki Ms-Word konusu ile ilgili akademik başarı seviyelerine daha fazla katkı sağlamıştır.

Web based examinations enable students to read the questions on PC, choose and change their answers with the help of mouse and keyboard, and send the evaluation results of the questions simultaneously to supply inform. In this study, researcher developed online examination employed to investigate the effects of web based examinations in PC Office Programs Course on students' academic success and their attitude. The population of the study is composed of 75 students from two different classes who are studying at Ahi Evran University Vocational School Department of Business Administration and taking the Computer Office Programs course in 2010-2011 Academic Year Spring Term. The pretest-posttest research design with control group was utilized in the study. The data was collected by means of the Academic Success Test developed by the researcher and of the Computer Attitude Scale developed by Uzunboylu. The online exam environment, contributes more to the students' levels of academic achievement of “Ms Word” within the computer course with compared to the paper-and-pencil tests.
