Nervus Medianus: Anatomik Seyri, Varyasyonları ve Kliniği

Bu derlemenin amacı nervus medianus’un anatomik seyri, varyasyonları ve lezyonlarıhakkında bilgi vermektir. Nervus medianus önkolda fleksör kasların çoğunluğunu ve elin tenarkaslarını innerve eder. Ayrıca duyu dalları aracılığı ile elin duyusal innervasyonuna katılanönemli periferik sinirlerdendir. Nervus medianus’un sık travmaya maruz kaldığı bölgeler vesinirin tuzak nöropatisi sonucu hasar gördüğü anatomik lokalizasyonların tespiti önemlidir.Sonuç olarak, nervus medianus’un hem normal anatomik seyrinin bilinmesi, hem devaryasyonlarının bilinmesi periferik sinir hastalıklarının teşhisi, tedavisi ve özellikle de cerrahiuygulamalar açısından çok önemlidir

Anatomic course, Variations and Clinical Importance of the Median Nerve

The purpose of this review is to give information about anatomic course, variations and lesionsof the median nerve. Median nerve innervates the most of the forearm flexor muscle and themuscles of the tenar of the hand. Moreover, it is one of the most important peripheral sensorynerve branches that joins the sensory innervation of the hand. It is important to detect locationsthat median nerve exposed to trauma and the anatomic localizations that nerve is damageddue to entrapment neuropathies. As a result, knowledge of both anatomical course of mediannerve and its variations are very important for diagnosis and treatment of the peripheral nervediseases and surgical applications
