FUZZY ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS AND AN APPLICATION ON JOB SELECTION

Today job selection is one of the most important decision of every individual in their life. The presence of multiple and different weights of criteria that influence this decision and also evulation of possible alternatives under these circumstances, make hard to solve this problem. Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process which is developed to overcome the diffuculties of classical multi criteria decision making methods  in reflecting the subjective prefences of individuals to evulations in group decision making, presented more effective solutions with expressing these choices by fuzzy numbers. The aim of this study is to investigate of effective factors in job selection and relations between alternatives. For this reason an investigation is conducted within the university students who will graduate from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of Econometrics within the following year. All the analyses are made via AHP and fuzzy AHP and results are compared. Keywords: Analytic Hierarchy Process, Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process, Job Selection.
