The Use of Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model in the Evaluation of Groundwater Quality

In this study, water quality was analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM),which is a second-generation multivariate statistical method. PLS-SEM explains the relationships between varia bles that cannot be directly observed using observed variables. The observed water quality factors used in PLS SEM model are pH, TDS; cations ($Mg^{2+}$, $Na^+$ ); and the anions ($HCO_3^-$ , $Cl^-$ ve $SO_4^+$). The model used in the studywas evaluated in two stages; after the appropriateness of the measurement model was evaluated with different fitindices in the first stage, the structural model was evaluated in the second stage. According to the results of thePLS-SEM model, it was found that cations (γ=0.598, P
