Bu çalışmada, tüketicilerin özellikle duygusal eğilimle gerçekleştirmiş oldukları ve hedonik tüketim olarak ifade edilen tüketim alışkanlıkları konusu araştırılmıştır. Bu kapsamda, ilkin tüketicileri mal veya hizmet satın almaya yönelten tüketim anlayışlarından asketik ve faydacı tüketim alışkanlıkları incelenmiş olup daha sonra da hedonik tüketim anlayışı ve tüketicileri hedonik tüketime motive eden bir takım nedenlerin üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmada ayrıca hedonik tüketim alışkanlıkları ile ilgili olarak ilgili yazın taranmış olup özgün birçok çalışmanın sonucuna da yer verilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuç kısmında, kişilerin duygusal dinamiklerle haz almaya yönelik olarak alışveriş yapmalarının kişilere ve çevresindekilere olan etkileri üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu çerçevede bireylerin sadece haz almaya yönelik olarak ve aşırı fazla alışveriş yapmalarının sanıldığı gibi mutluluk getirmeyeceği aksine bireysel ve toplumsal açıdan bir çok felaketi beraberinde getirebileceği gerçeğine değinilmiştir

In this study, consumer habits especially the ones that consumers made with emotional tendency and described as hedonic consumption behaviors matter has been investigated. In this context, first of all asceticism and useful consumption understanding investigated which lead consumers buy product and services, after that focused on hedonic consumption mentality and reasons for what motivate people in hedonic consumption. Additionally in this work, many unique studies scanned in terms of hedonic consumption habits and their results also included. In the conclusion part of this study focused on the effects of people and their neighborhood who shop to take pleasure for getting emotional dynamics. Within this framework it has been touched the fringes of the truth that too much shopping for individuals in order to take only pleasure will not bring happiness as it is thought, on the contrary it could bring lots of disasters in the respect of individually and socially
