Presakral dev schwannom: Olgu sunumu ve literatür derlemesi

Schwannoma, periferik sinir kılıfından kaynaklanan, oldukça yavaş büyüyen benign tümördür. Akut apandisit teşhisiyle servise yatırılan 34 yaşındaki erkek hastanın dijital rektal muayenesinde rektum posterior kısmında ekstraluminal kitle tespit edildi İlk operasyonda appendektomi ve kitleden biopsi yapıldı. 1 ay sonra tekrar laparotomi yapılarak kitle tamamen çıkarıldı. Presakral bölge tümörlerinde optimal tedavi cerrahi ekstirpasyon olmakla birlikte, yaklaşım ve operasyon şekli konusu tartışmalıdır.

Presacral giant schwannoma: A case report and review of the literature

Schwannomas arising from the peripheral nerve sheath is very slow-growing benign tumor. A 34 -years-old male patient was hospitalized with a diagnosis of acute ap- pendicitis, and the digital rectal examination revealed ex - traluminal mass of rectum. After diagnosis appendectomy and biopsy of the mass was performed. 1 month after, the mass was completely excised by laparotomy. Although extirpation is the optimal surgical treatment of tumors of the presacral region, the surgical approach and type of surgery is controversial.
