MAKSİLLER 2.MOLAR DİŞTE İZLENEN DENS INVAJİNATUS: OLGU SUNUMU

Dens in dente, dilasere kompozit odontoma veya gestant odontoma olarak da bilinen Dens Invajinatus (DI) yumuşak doku oluşum safhası esnasında dental papillanın invajinasyonu ile meydana gelen minenin gelişimsel malformasyonudur. Bu malformasyon süt ve daimi dentisyonda görülebilir.  DI en sık maksiller lateral kesici dişlerde görülür. Tedavi konservatif yaklaşımdan cerrahi tekniklere kadar değişmektedir. Dens invajinatus teşhisi, çürük, periodontal sorunlar, pulpa nekrozu, periapikal lezyon gibi komplikasyonların önlenmesi açısından önemlidir. Tedavinin başarısı dens invajinatus tipine bağlı olarak değişkenlik gösterebilir.  Maksiller molar bölgede dens invajinatus oldukça nadir görülen bir durumdur. Bu olgu sunumunda maksiller 2. molar dişte görülen Oehlers Tip III dens invajinatus olgusu sunulacaktır.

A DENS INVAGINATUS IN THE SECOND MOLAR REGION OF THE MAXILLA: CASE REPORT

Dens invaginatus (DI), also known as “dens in dente”, “dilated composite odontome” or “gestant odontoma”, is an enamel lined developmental malformation that occurs through an invagination of the dental papilla during the soft tissue stage of tooth development. This malformation may be seen in decidious and permanent dentition. Dens in dente commonly occur in the maxillary lateral incisor. Treatment has ranged from conservative approach to surgical tecniques. The diagnosis of Dens invaginatus is important for preventing complications such as caries, periodontal problems, pulp necrosis, periapical lesions. Success of treatment may vary depending on type of dens invaginatus. Dens invaginatus in the maxillary second molar is considerably a rare case. This article reports a case of Oehlers Type III dens invaginatus in the maxillary second molar
