Literatür derlemesi: üst çene genişletmesinde apareyler ve felsefeler

Üst ve alt dişler arasındaki oklüzal ilişkinin bukkolingual yönde bozulması çapraz kapanış olarak tanımlanmıştır. Posterior çapraz kapanış, transversal yönde en fazla görülen maloklüzyonlardan biridir. Posterior çapraz kapanışın tedavisi amacıyla üst çenenin transversal yönde genişletilmesi, ortodontistler tarafından bir asırı aşkın süredir yapılan bir uygulamadır ve bu amaç için pek çok aparey kullanılmıştır. Bu apareyler, ankraj noktalarına, aktif parçalarına, suturayı açmak için uygulanan kuvvetin büyüklüğüne ve sıklığına göre birbirlerinden ayrılırlar. Klinisyenler, yavaş, yarı hızlı veya hızlı üst çene genişletme protokolleri kullanmaktadırlar. Bu derlemede, posterior çapraz kapanışın tedavisinde kullanılan apareyler ve protokoller anlatılmıştır
