FARKLI YAPISAL ÖZELLİKTEKİ NİKEL-TİTANYUM KÖK KANAL EĞELERİNİN SODYUM HİPOKLORİT VE SERUM FİZYOLOJİK ÇÖZELTİLERİNDEKİ DÖNGÜSEL YORGUNLUK DİRENÇLERİNİN KARŞILAŞTİRİLMASI

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı; 3 farklı yapısal özellikteki nikel-titanyum (Ni-Tialetin döngüsel yorgunluk dirençlerini serum fizyolojik ve sodyum hipoklorit (NaOCl) çözeltileri kullanarak karşılaştırmaktır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmada 6 deney grubu (n=15) oluşturuldu ve toplamda 90 adet eğe kullanıldı. Grup 1: Protaper Universal (Dentsply Maillefer, Ballaigues, İsviçre), serum fizyolojik; Grup 2: Dia PT file (Dia-Dent, Cheongwon, Korea), serum fizyolojik; Grup 3: Dia X file (Dia-Dent, Cheongwon, Korea), serum fizyolojik; Grup 4: Protaper Universal, %5 NaOCl; Grup 5: Dia PT file %5 NaOCl; Grup 6: Dia X file, %5 NaOCl. Cyclic Fatigue Resistance of Nickel-Titanium Root Canal Instruments Manufactured with Various Methods in Sodium Hypochlorite and Saline Abstract Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the cyclic fatigue resistance of ProTaper Universal, Dia PT file and Dia X file which are produced with different machining procedures using saline and sodium hypochlorite solution. Materials and Methods: The study included six experimental groups (n = 15) and a total of 90 files. Group 1: Protaper Universal, saline; Group 2: Dia PT file, saline; Group 3: Dia X file, saline; Group 4: Protaper Universal, 5% NaOCl; Group 5: Dia PT file 5% NaOCl; Group 6: Dia X file, 5% NaOCl. The files were rotated in an artificial stainless steel canal with 5 mm radius, 60° angle of curvature and the instruments were dynamically immersed in either 5% sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) or saline. The time to failure of files was recorded with a digital chronometer and fracture length was measured. Results: In both solutions Dia X files were significantly more resistant to cyclic fatigue compared to Dia PT and Protaper Universal files. The cyclic fatigue resistance of all files in the saline solution was significantly higher compared to sodium hypochlorite. Conclusion: In both solutions Dia X files were significantly more resistant to cyclic fatigue compared to Dia PT and Protaper Universal files. Keywords: Cyclic fatigue, Dia PT file, Dia X file, Protaper Universal, Sodium hypochlorite.
