A METHODOLOGICAL STUDY FOR THE ESTIMATION OF THE PALATAL VAULT VOLUME OF MAXILLARY COMPLETE DENTURES

Bu çalýþma, damak þekillerine göre üst tam protezin damak hacmini hesaplamayý amaçlamýþtýr. 63 diþsiz hastanýn üst çenesinden çalýþma modeli elde edildi.Alçý modeler damak þekline göre ( Kare, üçgen, oval,düz) sýnýflandýrýldý. Damak yüzeyi izole edilerek akrilik kaide hazýrlandý. Sonra diþsiz kretlerin üzerinekonulan ve posteriorda interhamular çentiklere kadaruzatýlan akrilik plak hazýrlandý. Pipetle damak bölgesine su dolduruldu. Pipetteki azalma ilk hacim olarakkaydedildi. Daha sonra akrilik kaide çýkarýldý, tekrarakrilik kapak alveol kretlerinin üzerine oturtuldu. Aynýþekilde pipetle damak bölgesine su doldurularak azalansu miktarý kaydedildi. Birinci ve ikinci ölçüm ararsýndaki fark üst tam protezin damak hacmi olarakkaydedildi.Damak hacmi, damak þekline göre istatistikselolarak önemli bulundu (P
