THE VARIATION OF THE EXTRAPOLATED ENDPOİNT FROM BACKWARD TO FORWARD SCATTERİNG FOR SPECIFIED ISOTROPIC SCATTERING

Öz The Milne problem is studied for one speed, time independent and plane symmetric linear neutron transport eqııation. The variation of the extrapolatcd endpoint from backward to fonvard scattering for specified isotropic scattering is obtained. The zeroth and first order expressions for the critical slab thiekness which have been derived previously are cxpressed in terms of the extrapolated endpoint. ilence, the numerical valnes af both extrapolatcd endpoint and the critical slab thiekness arc vcrified.
