Düşük doğum ağırlıklı bebek sıklığını etkileyen sosyodemografik risk faktörleri

Amaç: Düşük doğum ağırlıklı bebekler ile ilgili sosyodemografik risk faktörlerini belirlemek. Yöntem: Vaka kontrol çalışması önceden hazırlanan 20 soruluk anket formunun yüz yüze anne ile görüşülerek değerlendirilmesi ile yapıldı. Sonuçlar istatistiksel olarak lojistik regresyon yöntemi ile değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Çoğul gebelik, annenin ilk doğumu, düşük anne eğitim düzeyi ve önceden düşük doğum ağırlıklı bebek öyküsü olma düşük doğum ağırlıklı bebek için risk faktörü olarak saptandı. Sonuç: Düşük doğum ağırlıklı bebek sıklığı doğum ağırlığını etkileyen faktörlerin bilinmesi ve giderilmesi ile azaltılabilir.

Sociodemographic risk factors affecting the incidence of low birht weight

Aim: To identify the sociodemographic risk factors associated with low birth weight. Methods: The casecontrol study was performed by interviewing each mother using a form including 20 questions. Statistical analysis was made by logistic regression. Results: The risk factors for low birthweight were multiple pregnancy, primiparous mother, low maternal education level and history of previous low birthweight infant. Conclusion: The incidence of low birth weight may be decreased by knowing and thus improving the factors influencing birth weight.
