Synthesis and Characterizations of TiO 2 /Ag Photoanodes for used Indigo Carmine Sensitizer Based Solar Cells

Synthesis and Characterizations of TiO 2 /Ag Photoanodes for used Indigo Carmine Sensitizer Based Solar Cells

In this work we have prepared Ag doped TiO 2 composite semiconductor by microwave hydrothermalmethods. The prepared TiO 2 /Ag photoanode was characterized via XRD, FE-SEM and DRS spectroscopytechniques. Then this composite was used as a photoanode material for dye sensitized solar cells. TheTiO 2 /Ag photoanode was prepared by spin coating technique. The sensitizer of this solar cell is indigocarmine and it was prepared in different pH solution in ACN. The higher solar cell efficiency values wereachieved up to 1.91% with TiO2/Ag photoanode and in pH 5.3 indigo carmine dye solution. As a result, inthis study, it was observed that the addition of Ag nanoparticles was increased the efficiency of solar cellby 20-45%.
