Bu çalışmada, 10 futbol hakemi, 10 yardımcı hakemin maç sırasındaki hareketlerini incelemek için, video kamera ile sadece hakeme odaklanmış görüntüleri kullanıldı. Bu görüntülerdeki hakemlerin maçtaki hareket şekilleri, özel olarak bu araştırma için hazırlanmış bilgisayar programı vasıtasıyla analiz edildi.Bu çalışmanın amacı, Futbol maçı sırasında futbol maçını yöneten hakem ve yardımcı hakemlerin çeşitli hareket şekillerinin (durma, yürüme, jogging, orta ve daha yüksek şiddette koşu ve sprint) analizini yapmak ve bu hakemler arasında bu yönde bir farkın olup olmadığını incelemektir.Bu araştırma sonuçlarına göre, maç boyunca futbol hakemlerinin, futbol oyuncuları kadar mesafe kat ettikleri bu mesafeleri intermittent (tekrarlı) koşu tarzında kat ettikleri, yardımcı hakemlerin, hakemlerden daha az mesafe kat ettikleri belirlenmiştir.

In this study, the video- camera records zoomed in only the referees were used to examine 10 referees’ and their 10 assistants’ movements during a match. The modes of motion of the referees in these records were analyzed by the computer program particularly done for this study. The aim of this study was to analyze various the modes of motion - walking, jogging, stopping, low, moderate, high intensity running, sprint - of the referees and their assistants who controlled soccer matches in soccer match and to appraise whether there is a differences between the referee’s and his assistants’ in this way. According to the results of this study, it was determined that during a match the referees covered the distance as much as football players, they did these movements intermittently and the assistant referees covered the distance less than the referees.
