Korunmaya ihtiyacı bulunan çocukların bakım ve korunması aile ve kurum bakım temelli yöntemlerle gerçekleştirilmektedir. Koruyucu aile bakım yöntemi de aile temelli bakım yöntemlerinden birisidir. Bu çalışmada öncelikle korunmaya ihtiyacı bulunan çocuklara sunulan bakım ve koruma yöntemleri hakkında genel bilgi verilmiştir. Daha sonra, Türkiye’de çocuk koruma sistemi içerisinde önemli bir yeri olan koruyucu aile bakım yöntemi incelenerek bu bakım yönteminde yaşanan gelişmeler ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışma, genel bir değerlendirme ile sonlandırılmıştır.

The children in need of care and protection are carried out with methods based on family and instutional care. Foster family is one of these based on family methods. In this study, first of all, the information about the methods of caring children who need protection is given. After that foster family which has an important place in the system child protection in Turkey is examined and it have been set forth the developments experienced in foster family method. The study was concluded with general assessment.
