GİRİŞİMCİ KİŞİLİK ÖZELLİKLERİNİN GİRİŞİMCİLİK NİYETİ ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ: UYGULAMALI GİRİŞİMCİLİK EĞİTİMİNE KATILANLAR ÜZERİNE BİR ÇALIŞMA

Bu çalışmanın amacı, uygulamalı girişimcilik eğitimine katılanların girişimci kişilik özelliklerini ve girişimci kişilik özelliklerinin girişimcilik niyeti üzerindeki rolünü belirlemektir. Araştırma amaçları doğrultusunda tasarlanan ölçme aracında girişimci kişilik özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla İşcan ve Kaygın (2011) tarafından geliştirilen girişimci kişilik özellikleri ölçeği; girişimcilik niyetini belirlemek amacıyla ise Liñán ve Chen (2009) tarafından geliştirilen girişimcilik niyeti ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonuçlarında en yüksek olarak gözlenen girişimci kişilik özelliğinin kendine güven, en düşük olarak gözlenen girişimci kişilik özelliğinin ise belirsizliğe karşı tolerans, olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte girişimci kişilik özelliklerinden kendine güven, başarma ihtiyacı, iç kontrol odağı ve belirsizliğe karşı tolerans ile girişimcilik niyeti arasında anlamlı ilişkiler saptanmıştır. Bununla birlikte risk alma ve yenilikçilik ile girişimcilik niyeti arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır.

THE EFFECT OF ENTREPRENEURIAL PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS ON ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTION: A STUDY ON PARTICIPANTS IN APPLIED ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING

The aim of this study is to determine the entrepreneurial personality characteristics of entrepreneur candidates participating in applied entrepreneurship training and the effects of entrepreneurial personality characteristics on the entrepreneurial intention. In order to determine entrepreneurial personality characteristics was used the entrepreneurial personality characteristics scale developed by İşcan and Kaygın (2011); in order to determine the entrepreneurial intention was used the entrepreneurial intention scale developed by Liñán and Chen (2009). The results of the study showed that the highest level of entrepreneurial personality traits was self- confidence and the lowest entrepreneurial personality characteristics were tolerance to uncertainty. Moreover, there were significant relationships between self-confidence, need for achievement, internal control focus, tolerance to uncertainty and entrepreneurial intention. However, there was no significant relationship between risk-taking, innovation and entrepreneurial intention.
