Bu derlemede, Türkiye Krom Madenciliğinin tarihçesi, bugünkü hali ve gelecekteki gelişme imkânları inceleimiştir. Bu etüdden elde edilen neticelere göre önümüzdeki senelerde neler yapılması gerektiği hususu da objektif kıstaslara dayanılarak belirtilmiş ve bu konuda memlekete sağlanacak faidelerin tesbitine çalışılmıştır.

This article presents a detailed analysis of the chromite mining îndustry in Turkey. By prepaj-ing such a report, it is in tended to bring up the rate of grow of this industry in the past, its economic and techhicaj conditions at present as weîi as possîbilities-and ways of its prosperity in the future. it is .stressed that if certain measures are taken, the chromite industry in Turkey may develop rapidly; a p^oduction rate of 1 000 000 tons per year can be realized; and chromite business may continue to piay an important role in the Turkish economy.
