Çölleşme, modern bilimin üzerinde durduğu ve yer kürenin yaklaşık %40'ında yaşayan insanları tehdit eden dünyanın önemli sosyal problemlerinin nedenlerinden biridir. Çölleşme, iklim koşulları ve insanların etkileri sonucunda kurak ve yarı kurak karasal ekosistemlerin bozulması ve nihayetinde yoksullaşmasıdır.

Desertification: How far?

Desertification is one of the major causes of social problems in the world that modern science focuses on and threatens people living in about 40% of the world. Desertification is the disruption and ultimately impoverishment of arid and semi-arid terrestrial ecosystems as a result of climate conditions and human impacts.
