Özne-yüklem ayrımı gibi, gündelik dilin gramerinden kaynaklanan ve klasik mantıkta geniş bir uygulama alanına sahip olan pek çok ayrıma kuşkuyla yaklaşan Frege, bilim ve felsefe yapmaya uygun bir dilin inşası için bu ayrımları terk etmemiz gerektiğini düşü- nür. Geliştirmiş olduğu mantıksal sistemle, bilim ve felsefe yapmaya uygun ideal bir dili inşa etmiş olduğunu düşünen Frege, matematiksel analizden devraldığı pek çok nosyonu mantığa uygulamıştır. Frege'nin geleneksel özne-yüklem ayrımı yerine ikame etmiş oldu- ğu fonksiyon/argüman ayrımı oldukça verimli bir analiz biçimini ortaya çıkarmıştır. Biz ise çalışmamızda, Frege'nin geleneksel özneyüklem ayrımını neden terk ettiğine odaklanarak, bu ayrım yerine ikame etmiş olduğu fonksiyon-argüman ayrımından bahsedeceğiz. Sonrasında ise Frege'nin genel önermelere ilişkin geliştirmiş olduğu analizi serimlemeye çalışacağız.

Frege, who have doubts about the various distinctions, such as subject and predicate distinction, which derives from the grammar of the ordinary language and has a broader scope of application in classical logic, thinks that we need to assign these distinctions so as to design a language which is suitable for philosophizing and doing science. Frege who thinks that with his logical system that has developed, design an ideal language is suitable for philosophizing and doing science, he applies to various notion borrowing from mathematical analysis to logic. Function and argument distinction which Frege substitute for the traditional subject and predicate distinction brings out widely productive style of analysis. In this paper, we will firstly concentrate on why Frege leaves the traditional subject and predicate distinction. Then, we will speak of function and argument distinction which substitute for subject and predicate distinction. Lastly, we will attempt to reveal Frege's analysis has developed about general propositions
