Dayanımlı ve Süregelimli Nesnelerin Değişimi Sorunu

Çağdaş metafizik çalışmalarında görüldüğü gibi, filozofların en çok yöneldi-ği konulardan biri zaman boyunca nesnelerin değişimi ve sürekliliği sorunudur. Değişim ve süreklilik kavramları aynı bağlamda düşünüldüğünde ortaya önemli sorunlar çıkmaktadır. Burada, hem temporal parçalar arasındaki bağıntının nasıl kurulduğu ve nesnenin değişime karşın nasıl bütünlüğünü koruduğu hem de ni-teliksel sürekliliğin temporal yolla nasıl açıklanabileceğiyle ilgili sorunların tartı-şıldığı iki görüş vardır. Böylelikle, süredurum görüşü içinde iki önemli tartış-mayla karşılaşırız. İlkine göre, değişim, uzay-zaman boyunca yayılmış olan farklı temporal parçaların bağıntısıyla sağlanırken; ikincisine göre ise, değişim, her-hangi bir şeyin tek bir uzay ve zaman bölümü içinde kazandığı ya da kaybettiği özelliklerle sağlanır ve bu uzay ve zamanda nesne bütün olarak vardır, uzay-zaman boyunca yayılmamıştır. Buna göre, bu çalışmada ilkin, bu iki görüş ara-sında yapılan değişim tartışması üzerinde duracağız. İkinci olarak, süredurum teorisinde gördüğümüz gibi, temporal parçaların değişen ve değişmeyen yönleri gösterilecektir ve böylece, temporal parçaların zamansız bir karakterinin olabi-leceği ileri sürülecektir.

The Problem of Change of Enduring and Perduring Objects

As we see in contemporary discussions about identity and persis-tence, we encounter some important problems when the concepts of change and continuity are considered in the same context. In these discussions, some different approaches have emerged about how the relationship between tem-poral parts is established, how objects maintain their unity throughout the change, and how qualitative continuity can be explained temporally. Thus, in these discussions, some argue that the change is achieved by the correlation of different temporal parts that are spread throughout space-time; and others think that the change can be possible if objects gain or lose some properties in a single space and time division. So, in this paper, we will first focus on the dis-cussion about the change between these two different views. Secondly, as we have seen in the theory of persistence, we will try to show the changing and un-changing aspects of the temporal parts.
